No problems locating loungers near the pool and Sylvia and her entertainment team were awesome and kept things fun without ever being pushy. We also ate at Ozio's, the Mediterranean restaurant, and the quality of food there was very good as well. The food at the buffet was quite tasty and had a very large selection.

More English dubbed and English subbed TV channels - there was only a handful.Two girlfriends and I visited here for my birthday in late July/early August and had an exceptional time. Hire more staff for outside - at times, especially at poolside, it felt like there wasn't enough staff to tend to everyone's wants/needs.ģ. Hooks for hanging items throughout the suite.Ģ. Things that I think could be improved on:ġ. Every day, I received friendly greetings and sometimes even exchanged conversations which rarely seemed fake - every one of the staff seemed genuine and hospitable throughout my stay. Friendliness of staff - they helped me celebrate a special occasion by sending complimentary drinks to my suite along with a door banner which I thought was a nice touch. The food is unlimited and the option to eat by room service for an entire day absolutely blew my mind because of the consistency in quality around the clock!Ģ. Regardless of the restaurant you went to, I found something I liked at each restaurant. The quality of (most of) the food - overall, aside from three or four items, I was so happy with the care that was put into the meals. Although I think it is pricier than other resorts that offer similar amenities, you get what you pay for at Secrets.ġ.
If you're looking for a comfortable resort with very helpful staff and amazing food, I would highly recommend this place. The property is promising but needs some updating as it is 10 years old and shows signs of wear.Īs a first-timer to an all-inclusive experience of any kind, I was quite pleased and pleasantly surprised at pretty much everything at Secrets The Vine Cancun. They will hunt you down until they wear you down to listen to their pitch which is a breakfast meeting for more than 90 minutes, then they expect you to make a decision right on the spot equaling somewhere in the neighborhood of $5000 down payment! After a stressful check-in, which includes a lengthy document you must read over in a dimly lit Front Desk counter, initial and sign, you finally get your room keys. As soon as you enter the lobby staff are harassing you about buying into a membership, AMR Vacation Club, which is nothing more than their version of a Time Share. I was told there was no problem with a smell in the lobby. I heard about this prior to arrival and called the week before to verify. I took the time to read all the reviews I could find prior to visiting and they were right on target! There was a septic tank-like stench in the lobby area which we had to breath for the entire stay. I cannot express the disappointment in this trip which fell short of relaxation. I just returned from a vacation at Secrets The Vine Resort in Cancun, Mexico 2/9-15/2023.
